For what grade is Denver Discovery Camp appropriate?
Denver Discovery Camp is designed for grades 4 and up! Multiple levels cannot generally be mixed during a single Denver Discovery Camp, but let us know if you have a special situation.
Can grades higher or lower than 4th-6th attend Denver Discovery Camp?
No, in its current design, Denver Discovery Camp is suitable for higher level students only.
What was the basis for determining the cost?
We surveyed a variety of programs related to Denver History Camp from the region and queried previous participants of Denver History Camp on the suitability of the price. Past participants judged it to be acceptable considering all the elements therein contained, including expert guides throughout the expedition, four meals, entry into multiple museums, in-town transportation and overnight lodging.
Does Denver Discovery Camp run year round?
No, Denver Discovery Camp does not run in the months of December of January.
What is the cancellation policy?
Deposit and Cancellation Policy for Denver History Camp:
School groups wishing to participate in the activities of Denver Discovery Camp must make a deposit in order to hold the locations being rented, including the Grant-Humphreys Mansion, Byers-Evans House Museum and Four Mile House. A credit card or check deposit of $500 is required one month in advance of the expected date of the camp; purchase orders are not accepted. All cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the reserved date. Cancellations prior to that time will result in a full refund in the form of a check. Any cancellations made after the two-week window, other than those related to weather, will result in no refund of this deposit. Denver Discovery Camp will cease operations only on days when the Denver Public Schools have been closed. In the event that the weather cancels Denver Discovery Camp in this fashion, a full refund will be issued in the form of a check.
In the event that cancellation occurs within the two-week limit as specified above, the reserving teacher/school may avoid loss of this money by rescheduling the event for a time later in the same calendar year.
